About Baldrige Express

"Medical Associates Health Centers has made the decision to pursue the Wisconsin Forward Award and then continue on to the National Malcolm Baldrige Award. To monitor our progress with this important strategic initiative, we needed to establish a baseline as to where we are now. The Baldrige Express provided us with an excellent tool to do just that.

I especially liked the fact that the NCPE team monitored completion of the online survey and continuously sent out email reminders to the employees that had not completed the survey to date. This eliminated the need for me to do this follow-up, which was great.

The results were sent electronically in an easy-to-interpret format and has given our organization much insight as to what we can work on immediately to begin our journey towards improvement."

Wisconsin Forward Award is pleased to partner with the National Council for Performance Excellence to offer Wisconsin organizations another self-assessment option--a behaviorally anchored survey-based assessment, we call Baldrige Express. This tool, administered either by paper or on-line, includes about 60 questions answered by your stakeholders and employees (or a sample of them). The Baldrige Express survey with comments from respondents combines the benefits of survey speed with the accuracy and completeness of a well-developed written narrative self assessment.

Organizations have used Baldrige Express to keep improvement momentum “alive” between award cycles. Other organizations turn to Baldrige Express as a starting point in their performance excellence journey; to help communicate priorities with various stakeholders and with monitoring progress over time.

According to survey developer Mark Blazey, by obtaining input from a cross section of functions, locations, and grade levels throughout the organization, a performance profile can be developed, which not only identifies strengths and opportunities for improvement, but deployment gaps as well.

Feel free to contact us to discuss ways you can use Baldrige Express to drive or benchmark improvement initiatives in your own organization.
